Job Description
- Implement strategic sourcing strategies and policies in conjunction with key stakeholders (Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, Finance).
- Manage Supply Risk by forecasting procurement needs, implementing robust supply agreements, analysing supplier capacity, and executing material coverage/scenario planning.
- Budget and forecast future commodity pricing and product costs for financial planning and reporting.
- Drive Cost Optimization through Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis and continuously identifying new procurement value and productivity opportunities.
- Manage and develop a reliable supplier base (local and international), ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to all required quality and ethical standards (e.g., cosmetic safety and quality accreditations).
- Oversee all procurement projects, ensuring alignment and collaboration across different functional departments within the organization.
- Grade 12 required
- Diploma or degree in B Com in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
- Quality assurance background an advantage
- Experience within the FMCG or Cosmetics/Fragrance industry will be an advantage.
- 5 years working experience in procurement
